I Am a Sunrise Girl

I am a sunrise girl. Don’t misunderstand me. As my daughter will contest to, the sunset has been known to take my breathe away. I have gasped at many an incredible sunset. One time whIPHONE PICS 796en the magnitude of beauty was so intense during a sun setting in the valley of the Adirondacks in Lake Placid I swear I had an out of body experience. I can recall another time when my legs melted into the earth during the setting sun in a fading blue Sedona, Arizona sky. There have been times when I have been hushed by my children in public for being more expressive about my awe regarding the sunset then they have been comfortable with. I have shared the desire with my daughter to just want to eat the sky on days when the setting sun delivers its glory. The sunrise, however, speaks magic to me. The sunrise feels more still, yet more certain. It sometimes holds me in a trance that transfers a knowing into my soul. The sunrise, to me, is hope. Hope and possibility. I am inspired to write about the blessings and gifts found in everyday occurrences and how I relate to them. Many of these blessings I find in nature, and perhaps my inspiration has magnified as a result of my absolute love affair with the sunrise this year.
